Laser Hair Removal

About Laser Hair Removal With Clarity II by lutronics

Clarity II represents our advanced laser hair removal technology, surpassing traditional intense pulsed light methods. This laser system features digitally-powered 755/1064nm dual wavelength technology, incorporating both Yag and Alexandrite technologies into one device. Engineered to deliver faster and more effective treatments for patients of all skin types, Clarity II streamlines procedures, ensuring ease and efficiency. The treatment typically entails 7-8 sessions spaced 6-8 weeks apart for the body and 4-7 weeks apart for the face.

The science behind laser hair removal

You might be curious about why we recommend spacing treatments 6-8 weeks apart. Behind this recommendation lies scientific rationale aimed at optimizing each hair removal session. Understanding the process begins with realizing that the laser emits light absorbed by the pigment in the hair, damaging the hair follicle. However, hair follicles are only susceptible to damage during the anagen stage, which is the active growth phase. Typically, our hairs enter the anagen stage approximately 6 weeks after removal (depending on the area). Therefore, scheduling sessions within the 6-8 week window ensures that your hair is in the anagen phase, maximizing treatment efficacy.
Clarity II boasts a digitally-powered 755/1064nm dual wavelength system, a combination perfectly suited for hair removal. This is crucial because effective removal requires hair to absorb light, leading to permanent removal. Melanin, the pigment in hair, absorbs light most efficiently within the 600-1100nm range, precisely matching the wavelengths our laser delivers to optimize treatment efficiency.

Benfits of Clarity II vs other technology

  • 2X faster with the efficient dual wavelength
  • IntelliTrak technology for faster more consistent coverage of larger areas
  • Temperature sensing
  • Exclusive shorter pulse widths for fine hair removal
  • More selective process then IPL. This is becasue of the monochromatic coherent light source from the laser, compared to the broadbandlight source on the IPL.
  • Freezing spary to maximize comfort with minimal pain .
